چکیده

We study the decay of correlations for towers. Using Birkhoff’s projective metrics, we obtain a rate of mixing of the form: cn(f, g) ≤ Ctα(n)‖f‖ ‖g‖1 where α(n) goes to zero in a way related to the asymptotic mass of upper floors, ‖f‖ is some Lipschitz norm and ‖g‖1 is some L1 norm. The fact that the dependence on g is given by an L1 norm is useful to study asymptotic laws of successive entrance times.

λ-Projectively Related Finsler Metrics and Finslerian Projective Invariants

In this paper, by using the concept of spherically symmetric metric, we defne the notion of λ-projectively related metrics as an extension of projectively related metrics. We construct some non-trivial examples of λ-projectively related metrics. Let F and G be two λ-projectively related metrics on a manifold M. We find the relation between the geodesics of F and G and prove that any geodesic of...

On two generalizations of semi-projective modules: SGQ-projective and $pi$-semi-projective

Let $R$ be a ring and $M$ a right $R$-module with $S=End_R(M)$. A module $M$ is called semi-projective if for any epimorphism $f:Mrightarrow N$, where $N$ is a submodule of $M$, and for any homomorphism $g: Mrightarrow N$, there exists $h:Mrightarrow M$ such that $fh=g$. In this paper, we study SGQ-projective and $pi$-semi-projective modules as two generalizations of semi-projective modules. A ...

Increasing Cooling Towers Heat Capacity by Flue Gas Introduction

In this paper the changes in the heat capacity of cooling towers has been investigated as a result of injecting combustion products of boilers. In the tower, the air is re-heated through mixing with hot flue gas after passing through the heat exchangers. As a result of this process, the draft of the cooling tower is increased. The additional produced draft depends on the ambient temperature and...
